Terms of Service

1. The service

Reltext is a personal blog writing and publishing tool operated by an individual developer. It lets you capture drafts on your phone, sync them across devices, and publish selected content to a GitHub repository that you own.

2. Your account

• You need an email-and-password account. Keep your password secure; actions taken with your credentials are your responsibility.
• You must be legally able to enter this agreement in your jurisdiction.
• You can delete your account at any time from inside the app; deletion is immediate and irreversible as described in the Privacy Policy.

3. Your content

• You own everything you write and upload. Reltext claims no ownership over your drafts, media or published content.
• You grant Reltext only the technical permission needed to store, sync and process your content and, solely after your explicit confirmation, publish it to your repository.
• You are responsible for what you publish. Publishing writes to your GitHub repository under your GitHub account and is governed by GitHub's terms.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use Reltext to store or publish unlawful content, infringe another person's rights, abuse the service infrastructure, access another user's data, or circumvent security boundaries.

5. The service is provided as-is

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the total amount you paid for Reltext Pro in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

We work to protect your writing through local recovery, versioning and explicit conflict handling, but you are responsible for keeping your own backups of important content, including the published GitHub repository that remains fully in your control.

6. Reltext Free and Reltext Pro

• Reltext Free. Writing, syncing across your devices, and export to Markdown, plain text and ZIP (with images) are free, and will remain free.
• Reltext Pro is an optional subscription that adds publishing to more than one site, updating a post after it has been published, full version history (Reltext Free shows the last 30 days), 5 GB of image storage (Reltext Free: 200 MB), and export to PDF, web page and Word.
• Purchase. Reltext Pro is available only in the Reltext apps for iPhone and Android, through the App Store or Google Play; it cannot be purchased on the web. A subscription applies to your Reltext account on every device you sign in to.
• Price and payment. The price and billing period are displayed in the app, in your local currency, before you confirm the purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Account when you confirm the purchase or, if you start with a free trial, when the trial ends.
• Free trial. Each Reltext account is eligible for one 14-day free trial of Reltext Pro. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription.
• Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. If you cancel, Reltext Pro remains available until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app or your Reltext account does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds. Subscriptions are sold by Apple or Google, and refund requests are handled under their respective policies; we are unable to issue refunds for purchases made through their stores. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.
• Price changes. If the price of your subscription changes, the store will notify you in advance and, where its rules require, ask for your consent before the new price applies.
• If your subscription ends, your content is retained. Additional sites remain in your account, but you can publish only to your first site. Version history older than 30 days is hidden until you subscribe again. Your images are kept, but you cannot upload new images while your storage exceeds 200 MB. Pro export formats and updating published posts become unavailable.
• Early access. Until we begin charging for Reltext Pro, all accounts have access to Pro features free of charge. We will notify you in the app before this changes.

7. Termination

You may stop using Reltext or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate section 4, with notice where practicable.

If we suspend or terminate your account, a subscription purchased through the App Store or Google Play is not cancelled automatically; you can cancel it in your store settings. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact us at support@reltext.com.

8. Copyright complaints

If you believe content processed through Reltext infringes your copyright, email support@reltext.com with a detailed notice. Published content lives in the author's own GitHub repository and is also subject to GitHub's copyright procedures.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced through the app or website before they take effect.

Questions: support@reltext.com. Before starting any formal proceeding, both sides agree to attempt good-faith resolution by email first. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Unresolved disputes are subject to the courts of Singapore.
